With Easter just behind us Spring is a great time to reflect on the gift of life. We’re surrounded by signs of this gift; with the blossom starting to bud and bloom, the catkins filling out, longer hours of daylight, warmer spells, and beautiful flowers starting to fill the gardens and verges.
These signs can be easy to miss when we’re engulfed within our daily routines and busy checking off our ‘to do lists’. Sometimes it takes a step back to notice the beauty in each day, the small things (a cheerful smile) can change the course of a day for someone. This spring why not try acknowledging each little detail within your day and see how you can make the best of your time, after all each day is a gift.
God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
(Serenity Prayer: Reinhold Niebuhr)
