Optimistic and cheerful

May is a beautiful optimistic month with dewy mornings cleared by the warmth of the sun, bright cheerful days and gradually ever lengthening evenings, still with a slight chill. It’s time to start making the most of the outdoors and the extra daylight as we look forward to the last few changes from Spring into the Summer season. Bookended with two bank holidays it makes May a popular month creating a special, extended time to share. Some will be firing up the BBQ celebrating the anticipation of summer months with friends and family, or enjoying some well deserved rest, others may be busy preparing and embarking on new paths and beginnings.

However you are spending your bank holidays it’s a perfect opportunity to take some time out for yourself to re-define what’s important to you, to take action to work towards those dreams and values… a spring clean of the ‘daily routine’.

It’s a bit like the story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. Everybody can dream, waiting for Somebody to come along to take that first step. Anybody could have done it but Nobody did it. Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have. We’re all individual with our own unique strengths and personalities to share with the world – there is Nobody like you, you are God’s unique design:

“Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand” Isaiah 64:8

In Him and through Him all things are possible. We need to listen to our hearts with integrity and discernment to re-discover our true selves and purposes.
