Spring

A big thank you to everyone who worked behind the scenes to put on two glorious spreads for the Church; early in the morning for our Easter breakfast and afternoon tea for our Chapel Anniversary. It was a lovely and traditional way to celebrate these occasions. Both were accompanied by thoughtful services highlighting the excitement and celebration of the resurrection of Jesus and the gift of new life.

Looking back as a church and in our own lives we were challenged and encouraged to count our blessings one by one, to see the work of God in our lives and in one another.

It’s easy to get caught up in everything that’s going on in the ‘here and now’ and lose track of how far we’ve come or to miss other’s needs. Giving ourselves time to reflect and to look forward, allows us to re-dedicate and place our thanks, concerns, hopes and plans into God’s capable and safe hands. The gift of Spring, the promise of new life, means there’s lots to look forward to and many blessings to come. As Christians this promise provides hope and an inner strength through times of struggles, and a reason to give thanks and celebrate each new day.
