Summer BBQ

We enjoyed a lovely celebratory service to mark the Queen’s 90th Birthday and our Sunday School Anniversary in June. Everyone had a part to play in the service with readings and quotes from Queen Elizabeth, music, singing, decorating of the chapel with red, white and blue bunting, flags and balloons, video presentation produced by the Sunday School, a wordsearch based on Kings & Queens, music… the rustic benches made from the coronation tree were all ‘tried and tested’ and re-dedicated. The celebrations were rounded off with sparkling elderflower cordial and three cheers to the Queen, followed by delicious crown cupcakes encased in gold paper wraps and a royal fruit cake – all decorated fit for Royalty. A big thank you for everyone’s participation and involvement – it wouldn’t have been the same without you.

This month, on Saturday 16th July, we’re looking forward to some summer fun with a BBQ whilst raising funds for JMA. In previous years there have also been some little extras for you including cakes, ice-cream, teas & coffees and outdoor games…so be sure to bring along friends and family, a good appetite and your pounds & pennies – every little bit counts. The fun starts off at 3pm at Half Acre, Horton Heath.
