…looking forward

The month of February, the shortest in the calendar year, is a reminder of Hope, Light and Love. It’s home to Candlemas, which celebrates the hope and light that came into our world at Christmas through the birth of Jesus. It marks the event when Jesus was presented by His father and mother to God at the temple in Jerusalem: ”He is a light to reveal God to the nations, and he is the glory of your people Israel!” Luke 2:32

With all the winter storms we’ve faced it’s easy to forget and loose sight of hope, and there have been some dark nights. But if you get the chance to star gaze on a clear night, in all it’s awe and great expanse, it’s a good reminder of being held in God’s arms. There is a beautiful song written by Mike Scott with the words ‘How long will I love you? As long as stars are above you…’  which perfectly illustrates this everlasting love. Without these three small but important things; hope, light and love, the world would be a darker place.
