Thank you

Thank you for the support, generosity (and prayers) for our community BBQ last month – we managed to raise over £100 for JMA! We were very lucky with the weather too – being able to enjoy a game of huge Jenga, croquet, pick-up-sticks and more in the afternoon sunshine whilst tucking into the BBQ food and designer chocolate-chip cupcakes decorated by one of our junior members, Alice. A great start to the summer!

Summer is a time of rest before the changes September brings with it’s new starts in the academic year, the changing of seasons and the preparation for harvest. Sometimes when making decisions (whether planning events or looking to the future) it’s all too easy to come up with reasons not to do something or to get lost in all the details… but it’s important to take the first steps (no matter how small) and test the waters.

“You never fail until you stop trying”. Albert Einstein

Thankfully, we don’t need to have the all the answers, just a seed of an idea, to be able to distinguish what feels right and wrong, and to let it grow in faith from the heart: “May God, the source of hope, fill you with all joy and peace by means of your faith in him, so that your hope will continue to grow by the power of the Holy Spirit”. Romans 15:13
