The Spirit of Christmas

Let’s follow Scrooge’s new path and continue the Spirit of Christmas throughout the new year with a “grateful prayer and a thankful heart”. Sometimes we need to stop and look around us, and see the glory that is there. Searching for the good things in life that might otherwise slip by unnoticed. There is a fullness to be found in Christ;

“Keep your roots deep in Him, build your lives on Him, and become stronger in your faith, as you were taught. And be filled with thanksgiving.”

“God forgave us all our sins; He cancelled the unfavourable record of our debts with its binding rules and did away with it completely by nailing it to the cross.”

Extract from Colossians 2:6-15

Be encouraged, let your roots grow deep and don’t be afraid. Christmas was just the start. The shadows of Good Friday are just around the corner. But also there is the wonderful light of that first Easter morning, dispersing the shadows and tears, bringing new life and joy to all.

Wishing you a happy and blessed 2018!
